Table 1: WCAG Conformance Criteria

Criteria
Conformance Level
Remarks and Explanations
1.1.1 Non-text Content (Level A)Supports
1.2.1 Audio-only and Video-only (Prerecorded) (Level A)Not ApplicableThe product has no multimedia.
1.2.2 Captions (Prerecorded) (Level A)Not ApplicableThe product has no multimedia.
1.2.3 Audio Description or Media Alternative (Prerecorded) (Level A)Not ApplicableThe product has no multimedia.
1.2.4 Captions (Live) (Level AA)Not ApplicableThe product has no multimedia.
1.2.5 Audio Description (Prerecorded) (Level AA)Not ApplicableThe product has no multimedia.
1.3.1 Info and Relationships (Level A)Partially Supports

The product was tested for:

  • User interface component labels are associated with the fields they are labeling.
  • Relationships between data are identifiable by assistive technology, or a description of the information and the relationship is provided.
  • Headings are encoded with HTML heading tags.
  • List markup is used for marking up lists.
  • Table markup is used for marking up data tables, including row and column headers and table captions/summaries where appropriate.
  • Data tables specify SUMMARY or CAPTION.
  • Layout tables use appropriate markup.
  • Groups of components are marked up with their description.
  • Style sheets are used only to change the layout and presentation on the screen.

Exceptions:

  • Bug 37272605: The 'Insert Table' tool inserts a table into the editor intended for the user to fill in some data, this table has no accessible name or caption.
  • Bug 37272745: The 'To-Do List' functionality allows a user to add a list of items with adjacent checkboxes. These checkboxes are not given any kind of accessible label.
  • Bug 37273073: The editor provides a 'placeholder' attribute, allowing a developer to define a placeholder value. This value displays in the editor when it is empty, and appears visually different to an actual value (more greyed out). This text is not properly defined as a placeholder, so if a screen reader user encounters the placeholder text, they have no way of distinguishing it from value text.
  • Bug 37273409: The 'Insert Table' tool inserts a table into the editor intended for the user to fill in some data. The table is an editable grid of sorts, allowing a user to move between the editable cells. The edit fields in each cell are unlabelled.
  • Bug 37294323: Widgets (for example Table, Images) are not announced correctly to Assistive Technology.
1.3.2 Meaningful Sequence(Level A)Supports
1.3.3 Sensory Characteristics(Level A)Supports
1.3.4 Orientation (Level AA)Supports

1.4.5 Images of Text(Level AA)Supports
1.4.10 Reflow (Level AA)Supports
1.4.11 Non-text Contrast (Level AA)Partially Supports

The product was tested for:

  • Non-text items have a contrast ratio of at least 3:1.

Exceptions:

  • Bug 37273477: A widget (for example an inserted table, image, etc) displays a yellow frame when the widget is in hover state. This hover state has insufficient contrast against the editor's white background. Additionally, buttons inside the frame have insufficient contrast between the button’s icon and their background.
1.4.12 Text Spacing (Level AA)Supports
1.4.13 Content on Hover or Focus (Level AA)Supports
2.1.1 Keyboard(Level A)Partially Supports

The product was tested for:

  • Ability to perform functions from the keyboard only, and without requiring specific timings for individual keystrokes.
  • Proper operation of unique keystrokes and access keys, including those listed in the product documentation.
  • The ability to use the product with OS keyboard aids: StickyKeys and FilterKeys (feature names may be different on different platforms).

Exceptions:

  • Bug 37272718: The 'To-Do List' functionality allows a user to add a list of items with adjacent checkboxes, where mouse users can check-off items in the list. Keyboard users have no way of updating the state of the checkbox.
  • Bug 37274205: The 'Insert HTML' functionality, where a user can embed a snippet of HTML has issues for keyboard users. The keyboard user can select the 'Insert HTML' option from the toolbar, which inserts an 'HTML Snippet' widget and places focus inside the widget. A visual user can see on the screen a green tick icon button, and red cross icon button displayed to the right of the editable area, mouse users can select either of those to save, or discard their changes into the editor. These buttons are not accessible to keyboard users, and there is no alternative for them to perform this functionality. In addition, once a snippet is saved, an edit icon button appears to the right of the snippet area. This also is not keyboard accessible.

The product was tested for:

  • Structure and hierarchy is marked up with Header elements outside of repetitive navigation links.
  • WAI-ARIA Landmark elements are used outside of repetitive navigation links.

Exceptions:

  • Bug 37295091: Live 'announcer' elements are marked up as non-unique landmarks.
2.4.2 Page Titled(Level A)Supports
2.4.3 Focus Order(Level A)Supports
2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context)(Level A)Supports
2.4.5 Multiple Ways(Level AA)Supports
2.4.6 Headings and Labels(Level AA)Partially Supports

The product was tested for:

  • Headers describe the topic or purpose of the content below them.
  • Labels describe the purpose of the associated field.

Exceptions:

  • Bug 37295172: The main editor toolbar has an accessible name of 'Editor toolbar'. The role of the element is already 'toolbar', and the role should not be duplicated in the name.

2.5.4 Motion Actuation (Level A)Supports
2.5.7 Dragging Movements (Level AA)Partially Supports

The product was tested for:

  • All functionality that uses a dragging movement for operation can be achieved by a single pointer without dragging.
  • Dragging movements are essential.
  • The functionality of dragging movements are determined by the user agent and not modified by the author.

Exceptions:

  • Bug 37497472: The 'Insert Table' tool inserts a table into the editor intended for the user to fill in some data. Users can reize the table columns, however it is not possible for users to resize columns using a single pointer without dragging.
2.5.8 Target Size (Minimum) (Level AA)Partially Supports

The product was tested for:

  • Interactive targets take up at least 24×24 CSS pixels of space, including white space around the target, and the space is not shared with another target.
  • The function can be achieved through a different control in the same software that meets this criterion.
  • The target is in a sentence or its size is otherwise constrained by the line-height of non-target text.
  • A particular presentation of the target is essential or is legally required for the information being conveyed.

Exceptions:

  • Bug 37295138: In the toolbar, there are multiple controls with split buttons (for example the highlight, bullet controls). These are implemented as two separate buttons, with a fast action associated with the left button, then a dropdown menu button with additional options to the right (assuming Left-to-right layout). The right-hand dropdown button has insufficient horizontal target space. Control is 29.9px by 16.27px, with no horizontal spacing between the fast-action and dropdown buttons.
