Oracle Alloy Enables du to Offer Sovereign Cloud Capabilities at Scale

UAE—July 2, 2025
EU Sovereign Cloud

When faced with the challenge of providing sovereign cloud capabilities with a vast range of AI and cloud services to customers in the UAE, du, the UAE’s leading telcom and digital services provider, turned to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Oracle Alloy enables du to become a cloud provider and offer OCI services to its customers through the du National Hypercloud. The du National Hypercloud is now live offering sovereign cloud and AI services to private and public sector organisations in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

du serves nine million consumers in the UAE with mobile, fixed-line, and broadband internet services and caters to more than 100,000 businesses in the region with a wide range of network, satellite, and ICT-managed services. The UAE public sector is one of the most digitally advanced in the world. It is rapidly embracing the benefits of AI and the cloud to improve its ability to deliver citizen services more efficiently and securely.

du will run the National Hypercloud from its own state-of-the-art data center in the UAE, enabling its customers to migrate their systems more effectively to the cloud while providing greater control over operations, location, and security. This will help manage strategic public sector data in alignment with the UAE’s digital sovereignty requirements. Oracle is the only hyperscale cloud provider capable of delivering AI and a full suite of cloud services across dedicated, public, and hybrid cloud environments, anywhere in the world.

Oracle Alloy enables du to become a cloud provider and innovate faster with greater customization and control. du’s customers now have access to more than 200 OCI services, including the latest AI, all tailored to meet the specific needs of the UAE markets and industry verticals while addressing UAE regulatory requirements.

Oracle’s sovereign AI capabilities will also assist du in accelerating the adoption of AI in the UAE public sector. Oracle’s distributed cloudOCI Generative AI service, and OCI AI infrastructure, will enable du to quickly deploy AI and other cloud native capabilities to its customers base.

Oracle Alloy, part of Oracle’s distributed cloud, enables service providers, integrators, independent software vendors, and other organizations to capitalize on the unprecedented business and new growth opportunities of the cloud. It functions as a full cloud region that Oracle supports and updates with new features as they become available in other Oracle public cloud regions worldwide.

du’s Oracle Alloy deployment follows similar launches with Team IM in New Zealand, Nomura Research Institute in Japan, and Polo Strategico Nazionale in Italy.
