“The use of Oracle Cloud HCM across different business units and countries has enabled Fujitsu to start to standardize the way that we do things as an organization. And that has really allowed us to focus on the employee experience.”
Business challenges
Fujitsu is a Tokyo-based multinational corporation that specializes in information and communications technology equipment and services. The company has more than 126,000 employees globally.

Patchwork HR systems across regions
Due to the global nature of its business, Fujitsu was operating with a patchwork of human resource IT systems across multiple locations in Europe, Asia, and North America. HR teams were also geographically dispersed and worked with a range of different skill sets.
With many systems in place, Fujitsu’s business leaders found it difficult to access, understand, and use HR data such as:
- Resources
- Vacancies
- Talent mix
- Diversity and demographic information for individuals
To bring cohesion to its HR IT stack, Fujitsu needed a platform that could standardize information and data for employees and executives in a consistent, common language.
“Oracle Cloud HCM has really allowed Fujitsu to transform the employee experience and give people a technology-driven ability to access information and data.”
Unified approach to HR
After deploying Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM) human resources capabilities, Fujitsu moved to a more unified approach to managing people globally. That shift helped reduce its IT footprint while improving efficiency, cost effectiveness, and key talent management processes such as compensation and performance management.
The result was a stronger foundation for Fujitsu’s broader human resources strategy. Instead of supporting fragmented HR operations, the company could manage more of the employee lifecycle through a connected system.
Insight for business leaders
With Oracle Cloud HCM, Fujitsu executives gained better access to HR analytics and data across the business. Leaders could also model and interpret that data at the business-unit level to support planning and decision-making.
This gave Fujitsu a clearer view of how it manages resources and investments across the organization. It also made HR information more useful to leaders responsible for workforce decisions.
Consistent experience across countries
Fujitsu was able to create a more consistent way to share data and communicate with corporate management and employees. Using common data, human resources, compensation, and performance management capabilities, the company established a common language across its HR processes.
For managers working across multiple countries, that meant a more consistent HR experience. It reduced variation in how information was accessed and managed across geographies.
Support for learning and localized processes
Fujitsu also implemented a new learning management system alongside Oracle, and the two systems continue to operate together. This expanded support for employee development while fitting into the broader human resources environment.
In some countries, Fujitsu integrated Oracle with localized payroll systems, including Fujitsu’s UK payroll system. That integration helped support a more complete end-to-end HR process.
Partners
The implementation was led by Fujitsu’s own Oracle consultants, while also making use of Oracle Consulting resources.
