Accelerate application migration and modernization by combining AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) capabilities over private, low-latency connections with no data transfer fees.
You can initiate the resource creation on either AWS or on the OCI console. Configuration will need to be performed on both cloud service provider consoles to complete the creation process.
Any customer with an active tenancy that has a valid Universal Credit Commitment or Pay As You Go subscription can try the preview out.
The interconnect utilizes Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) FastConnect and AWS Direct Connect technologies to build a fully managed connectivity offering directly between AWS Direct Connect and OCI FastConnect physical locations. This allows customers to quickly and easily provision interconnect connections between the two clouds without relying on manually configuring complicated physical connections and routing protocols. This will all be automatically managed by AWS and OCI.
The OCI AWS interconnect is the new open specification that is being used between AWS and Google.
The limited availability will be available in the United States, in OCI’s Ashburn, Virginia, region and AWS’s East Ashburn, Virginia, region.
Customers can sign up for one virtual circuit per tenancy with a 1GB/sec port configuration. Additional options will be available at General Availability (GA).
The limited availability is free. Pricing will be announced closer to GA.
This service is expected to be GA later this year in OCI’s Ashburn and AWS’s US East Ashburn regions. The service will be expanded to additional regions post-GA.
This resource is for testing purposes only during the preview period. Oracle will terminate the resource at the end of the preview period in accordance with the Limited Availability policies outlined in the Universal Credits service description. We recommend not using the preview interconnect for any production or business-critical workloads.
